The Complete Reference
Every Cybex series documented — Arc Trainer, VR1, VR2, VR3, Eagle,
Prestige VRS, Bravo, Classic, Jungle Gym, and plate-loaded lines.
Every model within each series, including discontinued and legacy
machines that are still in service today.
We don't just list model numbers. We explain the technology behind
each series — what makes Arc Trainer motion different, why Dual Axis
VR2 moves differently than Four-Bar VR3, and what those differences
mean for the populations using your facility.
Every machine documented here connects directly to certified
inventory on PreOwnedGym.com —
the premier marketplace for certified pre-owned commercial fitness
equipment. Condition-graded, verified, and available nationwide.
Cybex's flagship cardio line. The Arc Trainer uses a patented
motion that reduces hip flexor loading compared to traditional
ellipticals — a key reason it became the preferred choice for
rehabilitation and clinical settings. Models span from the entry
525AT through the commercial flagship 770AT.
The VR2 series introduced Dual Axis technology — resistance that
moves in two planes simultaneously, matching the natural path of
human joint motion. Five machines covering chest, overhead press,
low row, pec fly, and rotary torso.
The VR3 uses a Four-Bar linkage system delivering smooth, controlled
resistance arcs optimized for high-volume commercial use. A circuit
line built for facilities that need reliability and durability at
scale — leg press, arm curl, and row.
Cybex's top-tier selectorized strength line. Eagle machines are
found in university rec centers, hospital fitness facilities, and
high-end commercial gyms. Known for biomechanical precision and
exceptional durability in demanding environments.
The Prestige VRS represents Cybex's most contemporary selectorized
strength aesthetic — clean lines, updated upholstery styling, and
modern console integration. Chest Press and Leg Extension are the
most commonly available used units.
The Bravo line covers Cybex's functional trainer offerings —
the tall 8810 dual-cable unit, the compact 8800, and the
pull-focused 18022. Built for performance training, sports
conditioning, and rehabilitation movement patterns.
"UsedCybex saved us $50k on refurbished Arc Trainers. The quality is identical to new, and their support is incredible. Highly recommend."

Cybex Arc Trainer Model Comparison
The Arc Trainer line spans six models across two decades of
development. The 525AT and 600A serve different use cases than the
625AT and 770AT. Understanding the differences — drive system,
resistance range, console generation, and footprint — determines
which model is right for your facility.
Answers to the questions we hear most from facility managers,
gym owners, and equipment buyers.
What is the difference between Cybex VR2 and VR3?
+
The Cybex VR2 uses Dual Axis technology — resistance
that moves in two planes simultaneously, tracking the natural arc of
human joint motion through a given exercise. The result is a motion
path that accommodates individual biomechanics rather than forcing
the user into a fixed plane.
The VR3 uses a Four-Bar linkage system that delivers
a smooth, guided resistance arc optimized for high-volume commercial
use. It is a circuit line — built for reliability and throughput in
facilities where machines run continuously throughout the day.
VR2 suits facilities where joint health, rehab populations, or
biomechanical precision are a priority. VR3 suits high-traffic
commercial environments that need maximum durability.
Cybex commercial machines are engineered for 20+ years of heavy
use. When properly certified — worn components replaced, electronics
recalibrated, frames inspected and restored — a refurbished Cybex
machine performs identically to a new unit at the operating level
that matters for a facility.
The key qualifier is certification. Not all used equipment is
refurbished to the same standard. Machines listed on
PreOwnedGym.com
go through a condition-grading process designed to give buyers
accurate, verifiable information about what they're purchasing —
not a generic "refurbished" label.

What Cybex Arc Trainer models are available used?
+
The most commonly available used Cybex Arc Trainer models are the
525AT, 600A, 610A, 625AT, 750A, and 770AT. The
770AT is the most recent commercial flagship. Earlier models like
the 600A and 525AT are widely available used and remain fully
serviceable machines.
All Arc Trainer models use Cybex's patented Arc Trainer motion —
a gliding path that reduces hip flexor recruitment compared to
traditional elliptical machines. This is the core reason the Arc
Trainer became preferred in rehabilitation and clinical environments.
Model differences relate to drive system generation, console
technology, resistance range, and upper body engagement options.
Cybex Eagle is the brand's premium selectorized strength line —
positioned above the VR series and designed for the most demanding
commercial environments. Eagle machines are found in university
recreation centers, hospital fitness facilities, military bases,
and high-end commercial gyms.
The Eagle line includes Chest Press, Leg Press, Lat
Pulldown, Abdominal, and Arm Extension (Tricep) units.
Eagle machines are built to tighter tolerances than standard
commercial equipment and have a correspondingly long service life.
Used Eagle machines represent some of the strongest value in the
used Cybex market.
Cybex International was acquired by
Life Fitness in 2016. As an independent brand,
Cybex ceased manufacturing under its own name following the
acquisition. Some Cybex-branded products continued briefly under
Life Fitness ownership, but the classic Cybex product lines —
Arc Trainer, VR2, VR3, Eagle, Prestige, Bravo — were produced
as independent Cybex designs prior to 2016.
This is precisely why the used and refurbished market for Cybex
equipment matters. The machines that exist are all that will ever
exist under the original Cybex engineering standard — and they
were built to run for decades. UsedCybex.com documents the
complete record of that manufacturing history.
The Cybex Bravo is a cable-based functional trainer line built for
performance training, sports conditioning, and rehabilitation
movement patterns. Three models make up the Bravo line:
→Bravo Tall (8810) — full-height dual-cable tower with top and bottom pulleys, the most versatile configuration.
→Bravo Compact (8800) — lower-profile unit suited for space-constrained facilities.
→Bravo Pull (18022) — single-cable pull-focused unit designed for lat and rowing movement patterns.
