What separates Eagle from VR3
Second Generation Dual Axis, independent arms, and the articulating leg press
Eagle builds on Cybex's original Dual Axis concept with what the
company calls Second Generation Dual Axis Technology —
adding a converging or diverging path element on top of the
user-defined motion. On the Chest Press, that shows up as a
converging path that mimics how human arms naturally move forward
and inward; on the Row, a diverging path mimics how the arms
naturally move rearward and away from center.
Eagle also uses independent arm motion throughout the
upper-body lineup — each arm moves on its own rather than being
mechanically linked, which allows unilateral, bilateral, alternating,
or high-speed reciprocal training and helps balance a workout when
one side is weaker or recovering from injury.
The Eagle Leg Press takes a different but equally
deliberate approach: a patented articulating carriage tilts the seat
and back pad backward together as the user presses, increasing hip
extension and gluteal involvement while enabling explosive,
plyometric-style pressing rather than a fixed single-plane push.
